11 months old

The babies are a blast. They are really starting to mimic us and are complete sponges. Gwen has been waving and clapping for a while. Grady must have been observing her the last month because he all of a sudden decided to join along with the fun. It is too cute. He also decided to start doing so big with Gwen (I need to get a better video of this). Grady is crawling everywhere and Gwen is getting a little more daring on trying to move. I am hopeful that before she turns one she will be crawling. Without further ado, tilt your head to the side and take a look (I am an idiot and cannot figure out my camera's video feature).

Gwen can get kinda wild when blowing kisses. One time she poked herself in the eye. Grady had started to realize that Gwen was really putting on a show and getting all of the attention. He learned that by waving, clapping and shaking his head no he could take over the room!

I can get used to this life

Grandma sat Gwen on the couch the other day with a pillow behind her. Gwen enjoyed it so much. She was smiling and rocking forward and backward. Someday she will be standing and jumping on it.

Tippy

Tippy does not appreciate the fact that Grady is walking. He has barked at him, growled at him. Tippy is a grouchy old man. Unfortunately there are consequences to his actions

Tippy has to stay on the other side of the gate. Most of the times he does not mind. It actually gives him more time to jump on the kitchen table and eat the food scraps or the babies bibs. If we raise our kids the same way that we raised these dogs, we are screwed!

Daddy is home

Daddy had a hernia surgery today. It was a long day. Having kids really changes your stress levels on these days. We had to be at the hospital by 5:30 and did not get home until 4:30. He is doing good. It is nice to all be home. Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa moustache for watching the babies for a long day. Leslie brought over some snacks and dinner for tomorrow. We are very thankful for that. We could not do it without help. Looks like Daddy will have restrictions on picking the babies up for 4 weeks. Just in time for the babies first birthday.

Cheerios!

Gwen was having a lot of fun eating cheerios the other day. I am not quite sure she actually ate any of them. She more or less leaned down to the table so they could stick to her face.

Outing

We had some extra time last weekend, but not quite enough time to go to the zoo....so what is the next best thing....the pet store. The babies seemed to enjoy it. Mommy was brave enough to pick up a bird. Daddy was too scared to go near them. The babies even met a new friend while at the pet store.

We decided to have a little race with the twins and their new friend. Grady came in first, their new friend second and sadly Gwen did not pass the finish line. Maybe next time!

Noogie!

Not really what ended up happening, but this picture is too funny not to post.
I cannot wait until the 3 kids are running around together!

Get Up, Stand Up

In the last couple of weeks Grady has started standing up. He is moving all day long. He spots something, crawls to it, stands up. Next thing you know Gwen is playing with something he wants and he falls down to his butt and crawls over to check it out (actually to take it away from her).

Gwen will stand up too, but you have to pick her up. She still is not crawling. She prefers to sit up with her legs crossed.

All I know is once the are both moving, we are in trouble. People keep asking me what they need for their birthday. Well, I have figured out exactly what they need. Do they sell big plastic bubble that you can throw your kids in? Please also upgrade that to the bubble that holds time still.
