First Shopping Cart Ride

The twins got a lot of attention at Costco. We have tried a single shopping cart before, but Grady did not like it. They absolutely loved sitting next to each other. They laughed, they poked, they grabbed. Believe it or not, they did not even try to eat the cart. Neal and I had to take turns pushing them it was so much fun. I am guessing a trip to Target is next, I am pretty sure they have the double cart.

Our new favorite toy

Every twin mom needs this. It is an inflatable ball attached to a base. Great for tummy time or for sitting up.

Sometimes they hit each other in the head, but it does not hurt (I know because they have hit me too).

Bangs or no bangs, that is the question

Or should I say straight down or side swept. I hope my readers understand this is a joke. This is what two grown women start doing when they have been taking care of babies all day. It made for a good laugh at the time.

Monday Meltdown

I swear she is saying "Hug me, love me, I am so cute!"

You would never guess from these photos what was to come. First it started with a little whining. Then I am pretty sure they read the text message from daddy saying it was going to take him over an hour to get home. At this point all hell broke loose. They were crying together, one after the other, silent for 10 seconds, more cries, screams, snots. It was a long hour. For the first time in my life I was looking forward to shoveling the driveway. Well, that was of course until a young man rang my doorbell and said he would do it for 10 bucks (he did a good job, I gave him 15). My initial response was, will you take a check? When daddy finally did get home, I made it very clear I did not want to hear the babies, well actually baby (I put Gwen to bed 45 minutes earlier) cry. I think it is the cold that they currently have.

Good mommy, bad mommy

Do you ever have those days when you say to yourself, "I was a great mom today"? Or the days when you say "I am the worst mom ever". I had one of each back to back. Sunday I was on, today, not so much. Oh well, I can only hope tomorrow is better.

How long do you think they will buy this?

I have never been good at taking care of a fish tank. I maybe clean it once. When I found this at the store I thought for sure any kid would love it. So without further ado, our fish tank.

I just pray they don't ever have a pet fish in a future classroom. When they are being fussy and nothing has worked you just hand them the fish tank and they are happy as ever.

Grady's sleeping patterns

Grady is not the most consistent sleeper. I am not sure we have ever had to get up in the middle of the night for Gwen since she was 3.5 months old. We have however gotten up for Grady, although only a handful of times or maybe two handfuls. This week he has decided to sleep on his stomach. He just loves it. Just like his mommy, well that is with the exception of his rear. Here is the view from behind...

From the side...

From the front...

I love him so much!

The solution to our bad naps!

Go to Ikea. We left at 8:30 and the babies slept all the way there. Shopped until 12:15 then drove back and they slept almost the whole time. If only we had enough funding to do this every day. The twins even had their first shopping cart ride. Grady's lasted about 30 seconds because he started crying. Gwen loved the shopping cart. Girls just like shopping better I guess.
