Our New Toy!

We will have it in 4-6 weeks!

Easter Presents!

Grandma brough over some Easter gifts this week for the babies. Unfortunately she wasted her money as all they really wanted was to eat the gift bag! Oh well, they really did need some new pajamas and clothes. Up until this point they each had two pairs of pajamas that rotated. We have survived on that until the sickness and throwing up and snot started.

I love my new toys!

Give me a minute, I want to finish reading my new book.

I love presents!

Yummy, socks!

Hmmmm, maybe I should read the instructions first.

Grady

I have been lucky enough to get some good quality time with Grady. One thing you really miss out on when you have twins is getting that one on one time. Last night Grady let out a cry about every 20 minutes after we put him to bed. I have a no pick up rule. Once it is bedtime, it is bedtime.....well except this one time. He has been sick all week so I just wanted to cuddle. I made him a bottle and brought him into my room (Neal and I are separate since he is all RSV germy). He ate and smiled and laughed and smiled and held my hand and smiled. It was almost 11 at this point which is WAY past my bedtime. Eventually I had to take him back, but it was the best 30 minutes of my life. Today he took such a long evening nap (typically we would wake him up, but he is sick) that he was not ready for bedtime when Gwen was, so I decided to take him for a walk. I put him in my new carrier and we were off. It was great. Hopefully I get some of this one on one time with Gwen soon. I could never have imagined how great it is to be a mom. These kids are my entire world now.

9 months old!

The babies are 9 months old today. I love them more and more everyday. This week they had their first real sickness. We think they had RSV because dad had it, but we did not get it diagnosed. There is really nothing you can do for it, so the nurse just said to ride it out. Thankfully after about 5 days they started to feel better.

The babies are still in size 3 diapers, although it seems as though they are getting tight. They are eating about 5-6 ounces 4 times a day. They just really don't like their bottle like most babies.

Here is a typical day in the lives of Grady and Gwen
6:00 - wake up
6:30 - bottle
8:00 - breakfast typically consists of apple sauce and cereal
8:30-9:00 - nap (could be a half hour, could be 2 hours, you never know)
11:00 - bottle
12:15 - lunch typically a vegetable and a pear in a net thingy
1:00 - nap
3:00 - bottle
5:00-6:00 - dinner which we are trying to turn into them eating whatever we are eating, but that would require us to actually have a planned meal ready before 7:30
6:30 - bottle
7:00-7:15 - bedtime

Gwen
Gwen is starting to roll over again. Although it is not a recurring thing, it is happening. She sits up great on her own. She is very ticklish on her back. She now loves to shake her head no, and I swear she said no the other day. Great, just the word I want to hear out of my kid! Gwen does not like to eat baby food. She prefers people food. If you are giving her baby food you have to wipe a little on her locked lips so she can decide if she will open up or not. She loves people food, especially meat. She can pick up pieces of food and put them in her mouth all by herself. She hates having snot on her nose. I foresee her having a tissue in her pocket at all times just like any Kacirek. She loves when you hold her so she can stand and bounce. Gwen is a very happy baby.

Daddy made her do it! She is already our little comedian, look at that smile!

Grady
Grady is not yet crawling, but he is rocking back and forth on his hands and knees. When he wants something, he rolls, scoots, whatever he has to do to get it. He is very good at entertaining himself. Grady also sits up very well. Grady will eat just about anything. He can pick up food and put it in his mouth all by himself. He smiles when the yo gabba gabba show has funny faces. He does not really like to be held anymore, he wants to move. If you are going to hold him, hold him upside down. Grady likes to look out the windows (and sometimes eat them). His favorite toy is a flat ring. He loves to keep it in his mouth when he plays with other toys. He stands assisted flat footed. Grady is a very happy and laid back baby.

I am hoping to get some pictures taken this week. Portrait Innovations hates me! I bought the babies a dress up outfit for these pictures. It will be Gwen's first girlie dress.
